Sandvik's Mill

Tommy Hamarsten
On the inside of a windmill!

Sandvik Mill is the largest windmill around the Baltic Sea, and is called a "Dutchman" with swivel top.
The Öland landscape are the hundreds of windmills of wood, but this is far fewer than a hundred years ago.

They enjoy today heritage protection and has become characteristic of the landscape.

Long rows of adjacent mills are, for example, villages Lerkaka of Runsten, Störlinge of Gärdslösa and Vickleby village.
