Citizens of Photoville!
The hour is upon us! Photoville officially opens this evening and we cannot wait to show you everything we've been working on to make this little photo-village something truly spectacular!Want to see a plethora of photographic exhibitions in 50-odd shipping containers spread out over Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park? We've got you covered! How about a ridiculously packed roster of hands-on workshops and a near-gluttonous array of artist talks and panels to choose from? Yup. We have that too!
Did we mention we're ALSO throwing a huge party to kick off the opening of Photoville in style!? Join us at 7pm TONITE in the Photoville Beer Garden. Sip $5 frosty brews from Brooklyn Brewery (and served by Brooklyn's own Greenwood Park) while we show you choice selections from THE FENCE 2013 and ADVENTURES ACROSS THE SEVEN SEAS.
And the party doesn't stop there, photo friends! We're shaking our shutters all weekend long (and next weekend too!) in the Beer Garden with nightly events, featuring top notch documentary photography storytellers - MediaStorm (Friday 9/20), Daylight (Saturday 9/21) and FotoVisura (Sunday 9/22) amidst delicious food and live music. Here's what's on screen this weekend:
